A good match for my rifle
I use the SS 3-15x42 on my Aero Precision M5 (.308 20"). A very nice scope for that rifle.

the real deal
What is not to like?
I have used Hawke, Tac Vector, and Sun Optics, which are all decent. I shelled out the money to see the fuss on this scope. It was well justified. So much so that I bought three!

Excellent!
This is a second hand piece of glass to me. My friend had purchased this and wanted to push more magnification (as of now, so do I) so he ended up with the Burris XTR II. I purchased this used from him for $400 and I have nothing but positive reviews.
The tracking on this is fantastic. Countless amounts of times dialing out to 750- 1000 meters and it has no problem tracking back to its zero.
Overall amazing quality glass.

VERY good for the $$
I purchased this scope for a 6.5 Creedmoor Ruger American Predator and it is perfect for longer-range western hunting. A medium weight/medium length scope that gives you very good glass for the money.
In addition, you get first focal plane, mil reticle/mil turrets, and side focus. No other scope of this build quality gives you all that for $700. It is an extremely rugged scope. One reviewer said you could "frame a house with it". Well, maybe it is not that rugged.
As mentioned in another review, it does not have zero stops, but a shim kit is available to create a stop at your zero. The shim kit is worth the $22.

Great Value
Mounted this scope on a .22 PCP air rifle. Glass is very good, tracks perfect, reticle is good as it gets. The PCP with a rainbow trajectory, the reticle and elevation tracking makes 50 to 100 yard easy.
I would buy this scope again, very pleased.
SWFA's customer service is very good, others should copy. -
using with Savage 22 inch heavy barrel 308
Fantastic scope. I have it on my Savage 308 using 168gr Hornady Match bullets. In 98 degree temp at 2.7 mils shot one inch high 1/2 inch right of bulls-eye at 500 yards on sand bags. out of three shots two were within one and 1/4 inch one to one 1/2 inch low two and 1/2 inch left.
The third shot 1/2 inch left six inch low.
the glass is clear at this range, turrets very positive clicks.
rifle zeroed at 200 yards Great combination. Savage Axis for $299.00, and this scope made it a real shooter.
all at 500 yards. -
Awesome scope
Just love this scope. Exceeds all expectations and comes in under budget. Comparable scopes with these features and performance would cost me over $1,000.

Great value FFP scope
This scope is a great value, aside from good glass and consistent turret tracking with both audible and tactile clicks you're getting:
*FFP reticle (with mil reticle you can range targets at any mag range)
*Adjustable Parallax from as close as 6m up to infinity
*Matching MIL/MIL reticle and turrets
*Good glass (Japanese glass, not HD but still very nice)
*3-15x magnification range is versatile for shooting close or far
*30mm Tube and HUGE RANGE of adjustment (36 mils) so likely wont need a 20MOA or other canted base
*Integrated knob/lever on magnification ring so no need for throw lever
Although the scope doesn't have illumination or a zero stop you can solve the latter buy purchasing a kit for $22 (search YouTube or SnipersHide forum and you'll find them) and it certainly works as I've installed a set on mine. I dont need illumination for what I'm doing and for the price point i'm already getting great value. I highly recommend this scope.
