    By Tack Driver on 6/7/2017

I contacted Skylar of SWFA in March of 2017 and discussed several long range rifle scopes to mount on my new Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor. He gave me several links to review via Internet but leaned toward the Nikon Black X1000 6x24-50mm illuminated reticle in MRAD. He added that to maximize success at long range, I needed to do three things:
    1. acquire a one piece good quality cantilever mount to give me additional clearance when mounting atop the RPR.
    2. download the Strelock ballistic app to successfully calculate wind, elevation, weather, and cartridge.
    3. obtain some type of wind/weather to input the atmospherics into the Strelok app.

I did as he suggested and purchased the following:
1a. Leupold Mark 2 IMS 30mm Integral Mounting System (IMS) scope mount ($125.00)
2a. Downloaded the Strelok Pro app ($12.00)
3a. Purchased the Weatherflow Weather Meter for Precision Shooting ($85.00)

I walked out to the course and within 6 or 8 shots I had the rifle dialed in to a sub MOA group at 200 yards. I opened the Strelock app, loaded the weather and distances and here are the results shooting 10" gongs with a bipod from a picnic table on a preset course...
    300 yards, 6 clicks, 1 shot, ding
    400 yards, 14 clicks, 1 shot, ding
    500 yards, 24 clicks, 1 shot, ding
    600 yards, 34 clicks, 1 shot, ding
    700 yards, 45 clicks, 1 shot, ding

I shot the 700 yard gong two more times for a total of three just because I could. Amazing, simply amazing. I took a newly mounted scope on a rifle, had it zeroed in, and busted gongs at every stage out to 700 yards in less than a box of 20 shells. The Weatherflow places all the atmospherics into the Strelok app in real time. All I did was load the gun and pull the trigger!! Best of luck to all of you.
