PRI M16 AR15 Standard Carry Handle Mount, fits into the handle channel and is located by its mounting surfaces and the front portion of the receiver. The rear portion of the mount and two gripping lugs in the middle provide a solid, positive location and a self locking thumbscrew locks everything in place. The Mil Spec 1913 rail (Weaver Style) extends forward over the forearm and provides a low mounting surface that accepts many red dot and other sighting systems. The mounting rail is sufficiently low to allow the iron sights to be cowitnessed with the red dot of the optical sight. The standard model fits on most standard issue forearms.
