The quality control tolerance of the Swarobright Roof Prisms in the SLCnew has been refined to less than 2 arc seconds, and the production accuracy standards for the fabrication and polishing of SLC lenses has been raised to the finest, premium photo quality level. Improved color fidelity has also been achieved through refined lens coating applications.

Now, with the new ergonomic design and armored housing in the SLCnew series, the feel and balance of the binoculars has been improved significantly with the traditional thumb rest molded into new, high-grade, vulcanized rubber armoring.

With the new armor, weight savings have been achieved in some models like the larger 56MM 8x and 15x models. A new, quick attach/detach, strap carrying system has been designed for the SLCnew binoculars for greater convenience and comfort when afield.
